Spam filters and phone carriers notice when hundreds of people get the exact same message. Vary wording gives every contact their own version: AI writes up to three other ways to say each sentence of your campaign messages, and each contact gets a different mix. A five-sentence email can go out in more than a thousand versions — all saying the same thing.
Turn it on
- Open the Email or Texting page and pick the campaign in the message editor.
- Under the message, tick Vary wording, then click Save.
- About a minute later, the 🔀 line under the message says About N versions of this message. Click See them to look them over.
Until a message's versions are ready, it goes out exactly as you wrote it — nothing waits. Vary wording is on every paid plan and doesn't use your monthly AI allowance.
What changes — and what never does
Only how each sentence is worded changes. These always stay exactly as written:
- Subject lines (so email threads stay together).
- Fill-ins like
[First Name], including backup words like[City|your area]. - Links and buttons, web addresses, email addresses and phone numbers.
- Numbers and prices, and names of people, places and companies.
- Opt-out wording (STOP, unsubscribe) and your signature.
- Very short lines — the 🔀 line says Too short to vary when a message has nothing to rework.
Every version is checked before it can be sent: it has to keep the same meaning, keep words that carry your offer (cash, as-is, no fees or commissions, no repairs), keep every "no" and "not", stay "I" or "we" the way you wrote it, keep a question a question, and never add a time of day or a day ("Good morning", "today"). A version that fails any check is never used.
The mix isn't random each time: a contact gets the same version of a message whenever it's built for them, so a retry sends the same words.
See and edit the versions
Click See them on the 🔀 line. For each message (Email 1, Email 2…) you see every sentence as written with its versions underneath:
- × removes a version you don't like.
- Add your own version… adds one you write (it's checked the same way).
- ↻ New versions writes fresh versions of that sentence.
- Keep as written means that sentence never varies.
- Write new versions (at the bottom) rewrites every sentence and replaces your edits.
The Samples at the bottom show what three of the campaign's contacts get — click Shuffle samples to see others. For an email, 👁 Preview email → A sample version ↻ shows the whole email one contact gets; click it again for the next contact.
When you edit a message
Sentences you didn't touch keep their versions. New or changed sentences get new versions about a minute after you save — until then that message goes out as written, and the 🔀 line says how many sentences are waiting.
Texts
Text versions use plain keyboard characters and are never much longer than your sentence. The character counter under a text shows the longest version, so you can see if any version would split into two texts.
