Add your team — seats & roles

“Add your team — seats & roles” is a Direct University lesson from Direct REI, the AI cold-outreach platform and CRM for real estate investors. Give a VA, acquisitions manager, or partner their own login. How seats, roles, and account switching work.
Direct REI lets other people work inside your account with their own logins — no password sharing. Manage it all under Settings → Team (only the owner and admins see the team controls).
Seats by plan
- Free / Starter: 1 seat (just you).
- Pro: your seat + 2 extra — enough for a VA plus an acquisitions manager or partner.
- Scale: unlimited seats.
The four roles
- Owner — you. Full control, including billing.
- Admin — everything except billing/ownership, including managing other team members.
- Member — works the account (contacts, outreach, dialer) but can't manage the team.
- Viewer — read-only.
How to invite someone
- Go to
Settings → Team.
- Enter their email and pick a role.
- Direct REI generates a signup link with that email locked in. Send it to them.
- They create their own password and log in. You never see or handle their credentials.
Heads up: for your security, you create the invite but each teammate sets their own password. Never share your own login. Remove anyone's access anytime from Settings → Team.
Account switching
Once someone accepts, they get an account switcher in the top bar. They switch into your account and see your data — and your plan's caps apply while they work in it, not their own. A VA on a free personal account still gets full Pro capabilities while working inside your Pro account.
Tip: The most common use is dropping a cold-calling VA into your Dialer rotation. Sell the Earth (in the partner list) trains real-estate VAs specifically for this.
